Where the budget goes

Hiring a freelancer moves the budget off the client's balance. The money leaves their wallet but does not reach the freelancer yet.

The freelancer can see the money is already on the platform and starts work. The client cannot pull it back unilaterally.

The work is marked delivered. The client either accepts it and releases the payment, or opens a dispute and says why.

Escrow is released and the amount, minus the fee, lands on the freelancer's balance — ready to withdraw to a card or by SEPA transfer.

A dispute never leaves the money in limbo
When the two sides cannot agree, either of them hands the case to arbitration. An administrator sees the messages, what was delivered, and the amount in escrow — and awards it in full or in part.
